Starter Guide for the regular operation

Always wear proper eye protection marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 to reduce the likelihood of suffering an injury. Keep your hands and your body away from the saw blade. If you come into contact with the blade, you will sustain serious injuries. Conduct a check on the security system to ensure that it operates correctly.

Sawing should only be done with appropriate guards in place. Do not carry out any of the procedures freehand. Never put your hand near the saw’s blade. Before moving the workpiece or changing the settings, turn off the tool and wait for the saw blade to stop moving. Before using, make sure that all of the adjustments are snug. When working in dusty environments, it is essential to use appropriate respiratory protection and/or a dust extraction solution that complies with OSHA standards.

Indicator for the Cut Line

The cut-line indicator shines a light down onto the blade, creating a shadow when the blade makes contact with the workpiece. There will be no need for calibration or adjustments because the shadow will always be accurate to the location of the blade. Before you begin cutting, you need to turn on the light using the cut-line indicator switch. After use for approximately 9 seconds, the light will turn itself off automatically.

Putting the Tool into Motion and stopping

Grip the handle of the trigger firmly because the starting and stopping the action of the motor may cause the handle to move slightly upwards or downwards. WARNING!

Before using the mitre lock, you should always press down on the lever and tighten any adjustments. WARNING! Make sure your hands are not in the area designated as “No Hands Zone.”

Pull the trigger while simultaneously depressing the trigger lock to start the motor. Simply letting go of the trigger will halt the motor. The electric brake will bring the blade to a complete stop in about four seconds. WARNING! The brake is not a replacement for the guards. It may break; you should always wait until the blade has come to a complete stop before removing it from its housing.

The item being worked on. If the brake does not successfully stop the blade or if it frequently misses, take the tool to a Milwaukee service facility so that it can be repaired.
