Assembly
Inserting the battery is as simple as sliding the puck into the tool’s body. Check to see that it latches into place securely. - Insert the fastener strip into the nail slot and pull it down towards the front of the instrument. Make sure the fasteners’ points are pointing downward when they are installed. WARNING: Only recommended fasteners of the proper size, length, collation angle, and head type, as specified on the tool’s nameplate, should be used. Other fasteners could cause the device to malfunction, resulting in injury.

Selection of Power and Actuation
- Install the battery pack first.
- To turn on the tool, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds (the green LED ring will illuminate).
- The Low Battery LED indicates when the battery level is insufficiently charged to operate the tool.
- Toggle between single sequential actuation mode and contact (bump) actuation mode, press and hold the MODE button for several seconds.
- Actuation by Contact (Bump) – The workpiece contact and the trigger can be activated in any order and sequence to drive a fastener.

Thermal Protection Mode:
The Thermal Protection Mode will protect the tool when used in extremely cold or hot temperatures.or when the tool overheats or freezes while in use. Operation with a single sequence of actuation

Indicator for reloading
It will not compress, which will prevent operation under normal pressure. Indicating that the magazine is almost completely depleted of fasteners (only about 4-5 left in it). Install additional pins to continue working.

Choosing the appropriate depth of drive
WARNING Understand what is going on behind the scenes of your project. In the event of a fastener travelling through the workpiece and out the other side, it could strike an innocent bystander, causing severe injury or death. Reduce the depth of drive to prevent the fastener from being pushed through the workpiece during installation. The depth of drive can be adjusted.
- Test a fastener with a hammer.

- Move the depth selector to the left or right by one position to increase or decrease the driving depth.
- Continue until the desired depth has been reached.
Getting a Clogged Fastener Unclogged
Most jams are contributed to by a fastener or a portion of a fastener. They become lodged between the driver blade and the nail guide (or vice versa). Fastener strips with an incorrect collation angle or a fastener gauge that is too small or too large may result in continuous jamming. To unclog the clog, do the following:
- Take out the battery pack.
- WARNING: Keep the tool away from yourself and others when installing or removing fasteners. This may result in bodily harm to the individual.
- Take the fastener strip out of the magazine.
- Using needle-nose pliers, pry the fastener out of the way. Remove the magazine from the tool if it is necessary.
- Before restarting the work, complete the steps outlined under “Required Daily Testing.”
When the striker is being reset.
The striker may not reset after a nail jam or a low battery condition.
- Remove the battery pack from the striker to reset it.

- Take the fastener strip out of the magazine.
- Examine the striker position to see if it is incorrect. If the striker does not require resetting, proceed to the section on clearing a jammed nail.

- Keep the nail pusher open (to prevent the Reload Indicator from activating) and press the workpiece contact against a workpiece. 7.
- Pull the trigger on the action.
- The striker will withdraw his hand.
- Before restarting the work, complete the steps outlined under “Required Daily Testing.”
Required Daily Checking of the Nailer
Always point the tool away from yourself (other people).
- Take out the battery pack.

- Select the Contact Actuation Operation from the drop-down menu. Holding the workpiece contact away from the workpiece, opening the nail pusher (to override the Reload Indicator) and pulling the trigger will ensure that the workpiece contact is not damaged. The tool must not be able to function. Continue to pull and hold the trigger while pushing the workpiece contact against a workpiece until the trigger is released. The tool must be able to work.
- If all of the previous tests were successful, you could begin using the tool for your work. Select the operation and insert fastener strips into the machine. Setting the depth of drive following the “Setting the Depth of Drive” section should be done in step 10.
- If all tests are successful, the tool is ready to use. Repeat these tests before each use of the device or after it has been dropped, received a sharp blow, been run over, jammed, or otherwise damaged.
Keeping Things Running
Maintaining your tool, battery pack, and charger regularly will help keep them in good working order. Thus, when using a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts on the battery pack if the tool does not start or operate at maximum power. If the device continues to malfunction, return it, along with the charger and battery pack, to a MILWAUKEE service facility for repair.

Cleaning
Vents should be cleaned of dust and debris. Maintain the cleanliness, dryness, and lack of oil or grease of the tool.
